I walked upstream from the park headquarters parking lot around the reservoir and back on Sunday morning 1/21/18.
There were fresh droppings all along the creek. Saw one dipper far downstream from the 3rd bridge. I walk downstream to check it for bands but couldn’t find it.
Had one more sighting between bridge 1 and the falls, two dippers foraging close together. One was bSOO, the female seen several times since the dipper count on 1//6/18 with the banded male BBBS. But the male was the white-fringed bird we have also seen in this area. They we close but not communicating, just foraging among the rocks in the stream. No sign of BBBS, but Peter photographed him the next day at bridge 3, alone.
