This afternoon I visited Hersey St. and saw both adults. The male was just upstream of the bridge culvert and the female was in the nest box. Later the male flew underneath the bridge to the downstream side. Soon he was joined by the female and the pair flew downstream. It appears the female may be incubating.
At Bridge 3 I watched the male foraging above the bridge. After collecting some insects he flew down below the nest box and then quickly up feeding the female who was in the box. Hatching should be any day now. Hopefully more reports will come in when they do.
