Visited both nest sites today. At Hersey St. there appears to be 3 nestlings with one being visibly bigger. Only the female was seen feeding over a 45 minute period. Peter and Linda report a similar finding from their visit to Hersey earlier in the morning where they only saw the female feeding.
At Bridge 3 when I visited the male was present and fed numerous times, removed fecal sacs and sang a few rounds. No sign of the female.
Peter and Linda reported from their morning visit that both adults were present and that the female fed while the male gathered nesting material (moss) and entered the empty nest box that is adjacent to the one being used.
The nestlings at Bridge 3 should be fledging any day now as they hatched 22 days ago.
