Dipper Sighting 12.27.12 Ashland CBC

On the Ashland CBC yesterday our area group spotted 2 dippers, one banded: SR/WW – the adult male from the Main St bridge, it was foraging for food about 50 feet below bridge #10 (between playground and bandshell). We watched it for about 2-3 minutes then it flew downstream. I did not get any good photos as I did not have my zoom lens camera with me. A second dipper, unbanded was sighted about 100 feet downstream of bridge #3. It was foraging, eating caddis fly larva, as we have observed previously. We went as far up stream as the reservoir but did not see any other dippers. Eric
